-People picked 50 over Ja only for 50 to copy Ja’s singing thug formula.
-Ja became the punchline for a Chappelle joke about how we shouldn’t look to entertainers during tragedies and serious events. Now every time there’s a new president or major event people want a State Of The Union speech from Dave.

Yeah Ja really did not survive that beef

A lotta rappers who took Ls back then have moved on and gotten their flowers but niggas still treat Ja like a joke

  • He's not wrong though. Nigga has made so many timeless classics just for people to act like he was never s***.

People didn't take him seriously to begin with it's the T Pain thing where they had a fun career of goofy music but are angry it didn't last.

Ja more remembered for J Lo collabs and Dave jokes then the 50 beef now

50 was singing on PODT and his mixtapes.

The only time 50 truly copied Ja was by signing Olivia as his Ashanti and trying to make Candy Shop his "Always On Time" although AOT is the better song.

Aside from the Olivia collabs, though, 50 didn't really copy Ja at all. It was common for rappers like Jay-Z, Dipset, Luda, DMX, etc. to have a "song for the ladies" before 50 blew up.

50 barely did it on potd, you heard it a bit "lord forgive me, for i've sinned" but otherwise, it started to happen post-ja rule beef.

i won't forgive 50 for beefing with ja tho, cause i actually enjoyed ja's music and that early 2000's murda inc sound was fresh.

I’d say more of a descendant from Nelly but Nelly and Ja in the same boat in a way.

There's not a single Ja Rule song that sounds remotely like Outta Control Remix, Just A Lil Bit, PIMP, Many Men, etc. Just because 50 did more melodies doesn't mean he copied Ja.

That's like saying Wayne and Drake copied 50 for singing their own hooks. Their hooks sound nothing like 50's.

The only time 50 copying Ja held weight was the Olivia collabs because he actually copied the formula of having a "1st lady" on his label like Murda Inc. did with Ashanti.

Other than that, they were always disparate. Their hooks sound different. And their street/lyrical songs sound different. 50 copying Ja is a hyperbole that was mainly perpetuated by diss songs from other rappers like Jada and Game.

I find it interesting that 50 ended Ja career but 50s career didn’t last that much longer musically tbh. You can say it could’ve credited to 50s downfall as well, he let this victory go to his head and started to have beef with everybody thinking it would end in the same result.
