This album feels like talk therapy but Jack only has his own personality and life experience to interrogate which is as relatable as it is generic. At least that's how it feels when he's talking women or family or celebrity or privilege or any super broad topic.
I think GGG approaches cancel culture from a social, personal angle that I haven't really heard before. It Can't Be is kind of a reply to the opener, and taken together recognize his whiteness but also totally excuse it which is... contradictory but I think an almost accidental look at how celebs rationalize their position even without bringing race into it.
Cool that he even attempted such a stripped down, focused rap project at all. It definitely held my attention more than any of his other full lengths.
Trying to not use the word mid but that’s exactly what this is
I wouldn't say mid but I don't know how to describe it. This is just an album you listen to once and never again
This is much better than the last one. He purposely went for diary bars and not bangers. Cool lil project. He’s still got ways to go to make his s*** sound “alive”
EST Gee is the far superior Kentucky rapper
he can’t put together a decent project tho his last few have been ass
It’s better than his last but there’s no like “omg “ tracks on here. It’s kinda boring it’s like a one - two time listen

Yeah man when the last track finished his last album started autoplaying, some song called 'I Got A Shot' and man you can tell these two albums are worlds apart. Had to run this one back straight away. Fair play to Jack, came with something to prove with this tape, it's one that probably won't see much success numbers wise but he's gonna get his respect and it's clear that means a lot to him
Surprised to see more of you picking up how this is one of those albums everyone calls great/a major improvement but stops listening to after a week or two.
I also agree with that @iHype said. He should have just called this a mixtape because it feels, sounds and functions as one.
The garden still private as ever, the gang thrivin’ together
Ya boy's strivin' to be the most dominant ever
The hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters
And hold the comments 'cause I promise you I'm honestly better than whoever came to your head right then
the flow he catches at this part is so ill
Gang Gang Gang is one of the more interesting songs I've heard this year. I usually half pay attention to lyrics, but this one made me pay attention. Last song to do that was Auntie Diaries.
oh brother
He basically just dropped a bunch of these

Which is fine cause they're better than his pop rap songs that aren't hits

His pen/delivery is getting better imo, most alive and hungry he's sounded ever
oh brother
You may not like the execution of the song but it def is an interesting thought/song

they wanted him to put in a “shout out to the victims” ad lib somewhere in there
I think it's a little too short to be an album but it's his most intriguing listen to date
“It can’t be” is hard asf and had a lot of ways it could have been cringe . His approach was on point
tryna be white drake aint working so he became white cole
You guys really don't hear Mac Miller?
i feel like i’m the only person who listens to jack harlow and hears jack harlow
