I’m glad people are appreciating Drake more because he really is a generational talent and as innovative and mold breaking as almost any of the artists this site loves to hype.

He just happened to become the biggest out while doing it. Only Ye can also claim both feats.

Drake being 23 when he made SFG is crazy

*21. He recorded most of So Far Gone before he turned 22.

He tweeted about being the best of his generation and dropped the massive mid that was Nail Tech. He posted the snippet to this song, Twitter hyped it the f*** up (like they do with anything concerning him these days) and he drops this new single that's mid as well.

I feel like he's being really gassed up by everything around him and he's feeding really deeply into the social media hype. Hype is great but that doesn't last. If the music isn't quality enough to match the hype, the hype will eventually die down.

So, far, he's 0/2 with his new album. I don't f*** with any of the singles he's dropped so far and Nail Tech sucks but it's somehow better than this new single.

    • So many newer artists are making this same mistake

Song feels like it was specifically made for all the women who’s entire identity is thirsting over jack harlow on social media

    Song is underwhelming tbh

    I like the song

  • Chorus is clever and all but otherwise it's like he's condensed every aspect of Drake that bores me and puts it into his lyrics.

  • The chorus gonna go diamond on tiktok but the rest is underwhelming mid

(I don’t mean the tiktok line as a slight, just saying it’s the only catching or interesting part)

  • Oh he using trumpets again

Song is ok and pretty much what I expected.

Relies heavily on the hook & the verses aren’t all that

idk why but this feels like it should’ve been a woman empowerment song, like nice for what or something. he should’ve stacked the verses with some catchy / instagram friendly quotables for women to use all summer

Agree, should've been way more upbeat, something with the same tone and tempo as Nice For What would be better, the hook should be fun but it's just depressing
