It all starts with the chorus being mad lazy. This is it right here:

Like, really?

And then the beat doesn't help things. The first verse is weak/cringe and things pick up a bit by the second verse but by then, it's too late and then the godawful chorus comes back in again for the finale.

It’s alright. I agree with the chorus being a little lazy as others have stated but the sample makes it too good to fail. Not specific to Jack but I think a lot of newer rappers get carried by production it’s just up to them to not make it sound bad and that’s just the world we live in

But with that being said, he needs to get more energetic. His last album was solid but on the 2 singles so far he got bars but still not going in u feel me? A little above average

I would like to respectfully counter your last sentence by saying that there are so many dope producers out there that the main factor now is having “it”

Everyone has dope beats. It’s a matter of being charismatic, unique, and having an image that others can base their personality off of.

And Jack has the charisma in spades, which is why even if his rap career fizzles out he will be in media until his hairline starts to recede
