Absolutely. Mac was f***ing incredible
It's so f***ing sad when you think about it, man. Mac made leaps and bounds as a musician in the final years before his death. It's so unfortunate we never got to experience all the great music he would have blessed the world with.
Yeah he needs to link up with a producer. His track with Harry Fraud was pretty good imo. Hope he continues with that sound
I still feel like with the right beats, he can make way better songs. He just needs to find what works for him and stick to it. Post Malone and Lil Nas X always have fire beats and that carries the load for most of their songs. Jack can do the same until he becomes a better rapper and doesn't need those crutches anymore.

It makes me sad. At least he left us some Classics. He's a legend gone too soon.
In the end I think he knew it would go down this way. He always talked about it.
Then we got people gassing up this s***ty Drake clone like wtf
You see it sticking around long on the charts?
To me it sounds like a sounds like a song that will have a high debut, then stick like 1 or 2 weeks more and fall down
But a strong tik tok trend + how weak the charts are right now can keep it a float too tbh
Also a remix with like Lil Nas X or another poppin person could help it a lot

hopefully we get an actual release of Balloonerism
We need more vulnerability
New rappers need to take a page out of durks book
Jack dont got nearly as much translatable pain as Durk does idk what goes on in either of their lives but Durk loses a homie like every other week more people gonna be able to resonate w that
If we had social media back then Drake marketing would’ve been just as egregious probably
But yeah Drake’s presence was very organic which is backed by the immense hate he received early, til IYRTL
Obviously, Wayne's cosign did a lot for Drake back then as well but also, to Drake's credit he was already capable of crafting solo bangers like Best I Ever Had and he had a great project like So Far Gone on his hands already so you didn't feel like you were being bamboozled into supporting someone who didn't have what it took to be a star. He was worthy of all the hype he had back then.

Idk I think a lot of ppl relate to Jack harlow more than durk
They have totally different audiences. Plus the street s*** is always gonna be the preferred style/content in rap.
I dont think the majority of hip-hop fans are living in a situation with heavy gun-violence. Those guys live rare and dangerous lives, these suburban kids don’t relate to that lol

I think Jack can have a similar growth as a musician if he really takes the time to focus on his craft and doesn't use the current clout he has as a crutch. I've also been going on and on about the Drake comparisons because I legitimately believe they do him more harm than good. Every new artist that's been compared to Drake or has been touted as the one to replace Drake has fallen short (or sometimes, even worse, has fallen off). That's a really huge shoe to even begin to try to fill, especially because it's not like Drake is gone or is now washed. He's still making great music.
I think Jack should focus on forging his own path. He'll never be as big as Drake but that doesn't mean he can't be super successful and have a long career.
I actually think dude has a lot of potential. He just needs to grow a lot as a rapper.

Jack doesn't have any real pain to rap about and he doesn't need to fake like he does. It'd be good if his music was more relatable, though.
Song is going to be a hit there is no doubt but that, but is a lil bit boring
Dont understand why there is so much talk about him being the next drake, imo he doesnt have in him. He charismatic but the music way too mid, Drake was releasing dope ass s*** since SFG
He doesn’t have a 40 in his corner.
The “is he the next drake?” thing is a little premature imo tho because he is still so young
Gotta let him develop and grow as an artist.
Drake started out hot which is nice but we all know he didn’t really hit overdrive till ‘13-‘18
I consider Drake a completely different artist than when he was 24 yrs old. Gotta give Jack that same chance

Get Doja Cat on this to replace one of Jacks verses
Get Doja Cat on this to replace one of Jacks verses
A good doja verse and she doing sum with the hook and this going number 1
song is so reliant on the sample for intrigue i wanted it to be better
Outside of the sample, this is a terrible song

yeah you completely right i was just speaking to the “be vulnerable like Durk” comment it just wouldnt work for Jack
A good doja verse and she doing sum with the hook and this going number 1
Doja gonna have to do some HEAVY ass lifting lol
Boy is improving but he's improving so slowly and the sample kinda masks this.
Track really ain't nothing crazy but it makes me feel like he'll be alright. This is a good level of quality to be at regardless of if he improves.
Get Doja Cat on this to replace one of Jacks verses
Doja will have to rework the entire song to save this song.
