a bit disingenuous lol
making signs ≠ ability to break into the industry
rev runs own sons could hardly blow up in rap and they had some of the biggest connections out there
at the end of the day the people have to like your music
best post itt and maybe ktt
Allegedly they bring in millions in revenue and they did free advertising for him starting out. It's a franchise in a major corporation. They might not be connected to the industry, but he and the money and probably the marketing push early on.
what do you mean marketing push?
i like how op made this thread to contest an assertion that nobody made or even cares about in the first place
arguing with ghosts
They ugly as s*** too

Aw they actually look like decent people.
They ugly as s*** too

marketing push?
u mean on YouTube where Jack rose?
so u mad they bought him a camera?
or u mad they funded a YouTube ad campaign?
the kid was naturally discovered by DJ Drama who was looking for a young artist to compliment Lil Uzi rather than compete with
Jack was doing everything right at the right time and i cant see how his parent's business could have opened any industry doors between Jack and Drama
plus Jack was working with Drama and Cannon for over a year or two before Whats Poppin Remix, he is more natural than most
I’ve worked at 3 marketing companies, they all make themselves sound cool and important, none of them ever did anything notable

I don't hate or envy the kid himself, but I think it's pretty disingenuous when people say he got to where he is solely through hard work or charisma. He did put in work, but he probably benefited a ton from connections.
Attention is a commodity and in my opinion he's taking attention away, through underhanded competition, from kids who are really trying to rap because they didn't have other options. Also the racial fetishizing in his marketing makes me uncomfortable
Y'all have thoughts on this? These are just my opinions.
lol you're capping
this connection doesn't mean as much as you think in terms of his success. maybe he had an edge on the competition because he understood marketing but they didn't just open the doors to the music industry for him
Who f***ing cares? The way y’all constantly try to downplay peoples talent and success on this mf is pathetic
