ppl been saying this on twitter since like 2011
I had a feeling it was a stereotypical thing but it’s honestly the first time I ever heard it lol. I imagine when it was said before that it was used as a way to criticize new rap, but Jadakiss just suggests it’s what reflects in their subject matter and style. He’s not talking about the quality.
This is f***ing great
Never seen an episode of this show, now I need one of y’all to put me on to the essentials
Jada: "We grown men here we comfortable in our skin we don't have to say pause."
Adam: "Pause."
Then kiss says pause like 5 minutes later lmfao
Jada said something pretty poignant around all the bits. He’s like “when we was rapping we sold d****, now they’re doing them. that’s why it sounds different”.
I liked what he said but it's simply not true.
Cue the 9 million songs about weed.
Cue ODB cue DMX
Eminem? Who absolutely ran 99-03

I think the economic situation plays a part in that too.

How so? I think he has a point in there. About most of the new guys actually having money beforehand and the older guys having to nickle and dime until they made it.
Most of these guys we see now did not come from nothing. Simply not true and pure theater.
May life be like Italian bread
"Your lips are for milkshakes and soup"
"How is Kanye?"
"I've met like 5 or 6 different Kanyes"
Interesting seeing Adam become the most successful out of the ct group
Dude was always the punching bag
"I was being pause?" - Adam Friedland
Adam's face when Jada pauses him

Dude was always the punching bag
That was Nick's plan all along

I know. That’s what I’m saying

Mos Def said this on Black on Both Sides
They’re killing you for this comment but you’re absolutely correct. I have no idea why anybody would just sit and watch a podcast. That seems like such a waste of time to me when you could listen to it (it’s just audio anyways at the end of the day, like that’s the product) while you do other things, like folding laundry, lifting at the gym, or washing dishes.
They can kill me all they want. They looked at Adam Friedland for an hour in 2023.

Everyone including Adams crazy ass has probably made this observation at some point
