“Prison” is necessary to exist but not in the way that they have been running. There should be a focus on rehabilitation of course, however, as you know; there are some that perhaps are unable to be placed back into society.

I do believe that the goal of it should be to unravel all the trauma and other issues that affect these violent criminals and to put more funding into stopping it from happening to others

Prisons should not be places where criminals continue their behaviour, gang culture, prison etiquette and other things should not exist at all. That’s why so many people think of prison as a badge of honour.

Prison staff corruption should also be dealt with in order to help curb the culture that exists there.

On a related note we need the death penalty pronto and none of that "it's more expensive" bs. Rapists, murderers, child molesters, all get put down.
