Both Float and this new song are TRASH. She was one of the few refreshing voices in RnB/pop when she started out but over the years her music has gotten less and less interesting. Now its all about selling s***and nudity like 99% of other female pop artists

The Age of Pleasure is a Blackity-Blackass album. It traverses the realms of music that are indisputably ours. This time, instead of sci-fi metropolises, Janelle leans into the worlds we live in. “It was inspired by all of my friends, my community of folks who are from South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, the Caribbean, Atlanta, L.A., Chicago,” Janelle says. “Seeing all of us together in our Blackness, in the love that we had in our eyes for each other. People from the continent f*** around with trap from Atlanta. You know what I’m saying? I love how the diaspora — we talk to each other.”
“This album is not about a fight,” she says of The Age of Pleasure. “It’s about living in an oasis created by us for us. Even with everything going on in the world, this is our moment to breathe together, unapologetically taking this beat to enjoy — to hurry up and live.”

Friday.
Janelle spent years on her prim & proper like an early Motown act, now she's fully let her hair down
love janelle but judging by the singles I think this is definitely going to be her weakest album
hoping for some gems though
