They rationalize border closures with "we can't afford to let people in or they'll spread corona", but turn around and prepare to welcome 70k~ athletes/staff, without quarantine, ect.
Serious question how has the US turned around the COVID issue so quickly? Seems like we did a complete 180 comparison to other countries pre to post vaccine
We have the resources necessary for mass production and distribution of the best vaccines available free of charge to the general public. Plus our society is generally pro vax to begin with

i know some other foreigners in other cities saying that announcements about covid are only being made in english + other languages.
