Drake's s*** isnt that amazing to me in terms of him being a "barred up rapper", n was never a strong suit of him to me nor the reason i am attracted to Drake's music. His best music is his dance, personal & singing stuff too me & those are my fav songs of his for the most part. Only Emotionless is the "real rap" song of Drakes in my top 10 of Drake songs.

I am also not a fan of Drake's monotone dry "talking" flow n delivery when he purposely tries to be serious. Thats boring & simple to me. While songs that he is still rapping but not purposely in "serious" mode are way better like The Language or Cant Take a Joke.

I get what OP is saying about Jay Elect being east coast. He’s Def New Orleans but he’s even admitted in songs and interviews that he was ashamed of NO, and wanted to make it in NY and rap like a New Yorker. When he came into his own, he started to basically rep that he can do NY bars with NO perspective and do it better than NY. Hence his back and forths with RZA, KaySlay, etc when he was finally getting on in a real way
