in 26 years, I don't think hov has ever rapped a verse this god damn long. s*** was bout 4 mins long straight.
Respect to Foxy but it would be dope if they could get all get ina room and remake this, switch out Foxy for Rih

This was 05 so it might’ve been before Rihanna popped or around the time she blew. Either way at that time Foxy was obviously way more known

Jay didn’t become a billionaire off selling crack.
Rich rapper: i am rich and so are my friends

That's always been a stupid argument tl me tbh
You don't need to play a sport to talk about it
Same way you don't need to make music to talk about music etc
When it’s the dudes who just sit on their ass that critique you and get paid doing that it’s shaky. I’m sure a lot of athletes somewhat feel like that
what human being has an account on a hip-hop forum and gets mad when rappers talk about getting rich lmao
Like I told you sell d****; NO! Hov did that so you don’t have to go through that!

How does helping people become super rich make it okay to sell a d*** to your own community that ruins lives?
Jay didn’t become a billionaire off selling crack.
It gave him hundreds of thousands which he was able to multiply
It gave him something to rap about from which he made millions and became famous.
He was then able to use his fame and his millions to become a billionaire.
He wouldn't be a billionaire if it wasn't for selling crack.
Why was finding fits for this nigga so hard in the late 00's all of this s*** looks cringe loool
wtt & post-wtt was a terrible time for rapper fashion
Niggas wore clothes that was literally all leather with BEEN TRILL plastered all over man.
Everyone looked bad in this s*** but especially Hov lol
Like I told you sell d****; NO! Hov did that so you don’t have to go through that!
bro got a bar for each and every hater YOUNG!
Jay z d*** riders are shameless lol

His life as a hustler def played a major role but he was lucky to even be in the position to come into rap with money most crack dealers weren’t able to cross over into being legit. Not before doing time anyway. And even so there was no guarantee he would’ve made millions off rap let alone sustain the career he’s had in order to get to the billy.
He didn’t become a billionaire off selling crack he became a billionaire off his talent and business mind. Selling crack was how he survived the streets and was the vehicle towards something bigger.
