It's virtually impossible to be in Kanye's mental state and juggle all of his responsibilities successfully while also churning out great art. I think he's capable of releasing another classic, but not with everything going on and the expectation of him dropping regularly. He'll be an artist that drops a random masterpiece in his 50s or 60s.

I think once he’s done with this redemption arc he finally takes a long break and we don’t hear from him until 2030 when he’s in his 50s with a new album. just is what it is, he’s focused on the shows and recovering his mental state and that don’t come from continuing to be outside (pretty sure we are almost exactly a year from Nazi Twitter rants)

gotta imagine he’s on a crazy dosage too…wonder what that’s all like and still having to meet people/paparazzi

The amount of non black people talking bout black hair ITT is crazy

    I’m black, I swear.

I was today years old when I found out you can comb out dreads that aren’t twists.

Probably several months of being just numb to it. Hopefully levels out. Wonder who finally convinced him to get back on them.

It’s over with man. seeing my brother in sober recovery from manic bipolar, same person just way more relaxed and trying not to get triggered staying with the fam, work, and wife

it’s over with unfortunately for Ye. he’s surrounded by handlers and luckily it’s black men who actually care this time, Justin Laboy aside

    Yeah.

Ye rn reminds me of Mike Tyson in recent years where it's like they're kinda embarrassed of their lowest moments and want to be changed men.

I think Ye still needs to do more to remind people he's on a redemption arc since a lot of people deadass forget about those apologies but there's still time.

I think he realizes that, with the media target on his back, the last thing he needs is to act like a maniac or angry Black man. Like that's literally the worst thing he can do when the media's already clocking his every move lol.

Personally, I'd like to see Drake step into the ring even though I'd know he'll get embarrassed by Jay if only because Drake's been putting in effort on the bars and feeling like the rap game Deebo since Iceman dropped lol.

He has to go back to completely reinventing every album cycle.

this would be a dream come true

I hope the recent Michaelmania reinspires him

Wym “michaelmania?” I don’t understand the reference

Michael Jackson biopic itself and the clips and moments of him that are flooding social media

Specifically the dynamic of how he completely switched s*** up from OTW to Thriller to Bad to Dangerous which is what I assume influenced the College Dropout to Yeezus different phases and sounds each album

    Need this

You have to suspend all logical thinking about the fact Drake did get out rapped to get to this kind of tweet.

The important thing for Ye, right now, should be getting solid routines going, getting his health straight and dropping when he's able. But it seems like he's still 100% about dropping every year-ish, so he needs to find people who will tell him the truth. Establish a clear floor for quality where a certain tier of track cannot drop because it's too trash. Then we can get a regular stream of good albums.

As for a classic, I think that's only going to happen when he gives it time. And right now I don't feel like he's going to give anything that kind of time (TLOP) or discipline (MBDTF).

I think he's shown he's in the same mold of a Bob and Neil as far as being down to drop regularly drop albums to represent his current headspace whether or not it's another game changer. I can see him keeping that going.

Jay and ye could have probably stamped Drake out during the WTT era

This kind of happened on some cold war s*** tho between WTT shots at Wayne, Wayne C4 Baby Money/kidnap yo lady money, and Drake on I’m on One lol

I think if it went all the way there Drake would have won off youth support alone

Yeah. If we get another MBDTF type album, I think it will happen because circumstances changed or allowed for it. I don't think he's likely to sit down and say "I'm going to keep working on this until it's the best thing I've ever made."

Bob was 56 when he did Time Out Of Mind

    Patiently waiting for Ye's TOOM

This quote always stuck with me from Ye:

“We wouldn't be able to make the music that we make. Me and Hov would've never made Watch The Throne if this n- wasn't putting pressure on us like that."

Drake said nobody wants to hear Jay buying art in his raps and Jay responded with the “I’m sorry Miss Drizzy” verse and they just ended up making music together several times I don’t think it’s any actual beef

    They absolutely were bro lol

I feel you I probably woulda “sided” with Throne just off the strength of Ye but Wayne and Drake were the youth in 2008-2011. We can’t forget that run especially pre TML when Drake’s hype was unreal lol

dawg I’m still reeling from embarrassing moments at 14-18 in high school/college… I can only imagine

I just don’t even think his brain is focused on anything but doing the shows and how embarrassing that moment was…like he’ll probably see the Jay shots and say “yea I deserve that, damn, sorry bro I was out of it” and get back to work

Drake needs to respond. He shouldn’t, but he needs to

Yeah I had Wayne's tapes when they came out but he was definitely already starting to slip from his former glory by 2011. Drake took a few more years to reach his. Ye and Jay were both still peaking though.

I don’t want another MBDTF i want him to do something he’s never done or revisit things he’s sparsely done

I’d take a FourFive Seconds esque country album or another 80’s synth pop take over another MBDTF type album (which he’s done 2/3 times with Pablo, DONDA and now Bully: mash up everything we like about him thus far into a maximalist album)
