I don’t want another MBDTF i want him to do something he’s never done or revisit things he’s sparsely done
I’d take a FourFive Seconds esque country album or another 80’s synth pop take over another MBDTF type album (which he’s done 2/3 times with Pablo, DONDA and now Bully: mash up everything we like about him thus far into a maximalist album)
I more mean something that shows a lot of thought, effort and layering. The genre/sound is really besides the point

I think we’re just gonna get a bunch of Real Friends, Believe What I Say, and that new Travis s*** and Gas Chambers

Probably some more JIKs as he get old
Drake get my top spot in Hip-Hop because of appeal to the masses and continuously not backing down from challenges
Yeah people clown Drake but he embraced every beef and engaged in battles against people that stood way more to gain than he did. Like he could’ve laughed all of these guys off aside from maybe how Meek came at him

Not responding to Adidon and backing out after NLU isnt exactly embracing and engaging all due respek

He might get humiliated and exposed on the regular, but he regroups with the best of them

an album with like 10 Follow God's would be

People clown s*** all the time and got no heart. I can't respect no opinion that don't sound like it was forged by actual work
But I think Drake has gained more than everyone from the exchanges. People act like rapping matter lmao

Nas didn’t drop any songs after Jay dropped Supa Ugly and Common didn’t respond after Supa Ugly the beef ends at some point

I really think only the common and meek beefs helped Drake but I could be wrong

I'll take some new Follow God, God Is and On God's any day

Of course but it felt like Aubrey conceded prematurely to Push and Dot. I don't blame him but still.
if I speak, big trouble
great album
A classic
magnitudes of order better than Ye

I think Closed on Sunday takes that away for me but it’s definitely a 9 to me, never understood the hate tbh

Closed On Sunday is amazing
Hands On the closest thing to a skip on there
Examples?
Travelling Wilburys I guess but they probably didn't have alot of cred amongst the alternative scene that blew up through the 80s into the 90s
Oh man well some artists who never even had hits like The Grateful Dead were suddenly on heavy mtv rotation with touch of grey

I think Bully could’ve been that album with more fleshed out writing but I appreciate it. The album does definitely have a narrative to it.
First half is self affirmations and ego justifications and the highs. Bully title track is him wrestling and fighting and accepting his medication. Second half is him kinda taking some level of self reflection, pep talks, and also some of the frustrations with taking medication and feeling like he’s dimming his light.
With the exception of “Last Breath”.
But I don’t think it’s a bad album at all. Just not enough to win everyone over again.
I really think only the common and meek beefs helped Drake but I could be wrong
Nigga recouped a half of a billion dollar deal in 15 minutes

He’s like 55 I don’t want anything from him he’s dropped like 5 ass projects in a row
I’m black, I swear.
I was today years old when I found out you can comb out dreads that aren’t twists.
Cmon man… it’s possible, you’ll just lose some “length”
