any damage he did is been done
people just wanna look at the leaders and people with power and feel like they were good, or something, even if they were damaging to the world, because it makes them feel a little better… that’s all i can think. It’s more comfortable to keep a positive view
My comment or observation in particular wasn’t really in defense of Jimmy Carter (Every president works within a system that’s corrupted, some worse then others like Reagan for example) but more so the edgy s*** I’ve seen a rise of in recent times that’s just getting obnoxious.

Yeah I don't entirely disagree if only for the fact that it doesn't do anything, like its not even entertaining or funny a lot of the time
Like it's not very exciting when somebody dies at 100 even if what they did during their lifetime is viewed as negative and not even specifically talking about Carter but someone like Kissinger and so on, he was also 100 if im not mistaken and sure he's some next level but these are really long lives these guys got to live as opposed to the people on the other side of their power they wielded while they were holding office(s)
So there's nothing to celebrate. Most if not all of us will die much earlier than that
