this was part of a shoot to bring awareness to the struggles of black actors struggling to get roles being stereotyped and type casted, the other photo in the set was him looking depressed. the photos were about how african americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment but yeah just post this pic in this thread with no correlation or context weirdo
Drake’s explanation of the black face only puts it into a different, and still negative context.
The fact that he was willing to make such a bold artistic message on race BEFORE he was famous but has been completely silent on the matter when he actually has POWER, MONEY and FAME that would allow his message to be heard...most likely because it would segregate his white audience and make them feel uncomfortable is ironic.
But it’s aight Drake have always been tap dancing for the crackers and sing mammy. NOTHING NEW
Imagine devoting any time out of your day trying to seriously argue that f***ing Jimmy Fallon should be cancelled
Explain ur og comment
He's doing an impression of Chris Rock on the t.v show Saturday night Live.

With his skin painted black saying s*** about black people how's is this not blackface,
This is much worse bruh
Another poster in here provided the context behind it.
0 possible way one can say using blackface for artistic purposes/to make commentary of an issue is the same as using it for commentary. Especially seeing how one is black and the other isn't.

Fair enough. I didn’t check that. The imagery in Drake’s seems way more charged is what I was thinking.

And fallon seems to be imitating chris rock for a skit or sum???
That chris rock impression on point tho
lol facts. How can I be retroactively mad at blackface when he was on point with it
I'm black and I thought that sketch was a pretty fun impression of Chris Rock. Not gonna sit here and cry over a doggone comedy sketch.

This is what I got from it.
If it didn’t seem like a direct impression I’d feel more of a way about it but either way his dumb ass shouldn’t have let the producers or whoever get him to actually do it.
I highly doubt he’s a white supremacist or something like that but he is indeed, an idiot.
