Do you guys really except rich white people to be informed about the implications of blackface
every American born here knows the implications and history of blackface, its up to you to decide whether or not you respect black folk enough to not do it.

Not sure why it is so awful when the intention is not to devalue a race.
Historically, minstrel shows used black face explicitly to degrade black people and portray them as lessers. That clearly is not the case in this comedy sketch.
It is tacky and probably in poor taste, but trying to equate this to actual racial attacks of the past just isn’t really honest.
Does that also mean that people in brown face to portray other races is completely fine because there is no history?
crying at everyone liking this post you post facts and someone responds with some troll s*** and it gets likes lmaooo

your answer is in your response. it's because of this explicit history that it shouldn't be tolerated. blackface has been used for ages as a tool of oppression by white folk, demeaning and caricaturing black people as stupid, savage, and conniving.
the intention doesn't matter, because it's disrespectful regardless. it's the same principle as the n-word. just because you don't intend to be racist, doesn't mean that it simply washes away the violent history and meaning that word retains.
you can parade in blackface and brownface all you want, but don't be surprised when you're faced with heavy social repercussions and scrutiny.
i also don't know what you're talking about in your last point.
Here we go, another twitter campaign from some Gen Z’ers whose mommy and daddy finally allowed them to use the internet freely
