Miss Piggy pop girly comedy is a very strong premise. Sounds better than just another boring ass biopic.

Yeah, “miss piggy cancel culture movie” is definitely a strong premise lol

This “renaissance” already annoying the f*** out of me

My adult co workers talk about the muppets constantly now I’m not even joking, I wish I was. I guess I’m just done with culture as a whole.

    Yeaaaahhhh

Barely any more unique than another biopic. Barbie, Velma, Miss Piggy. Modern subversion of an old property is not really anything fresh. Plus the muppets and miss piggy were literally always placed in the context of celebrity, it’s like the whole point of their existence.

Here’s the most obvious clue that it’s not actually a strong premise: she has to take it back immediately after explaining it. The premise as far as I can tell at least starts with: “Miss piggy gets cancelled”. And she obviously knows how dumb that sounds so she has to say “no that’s not the plot tho”. But it really shouldn’t be any part of it tbh. We really talking about cancel culture in 2026? That’s not even modern it’s the 2010s

I'm not reading all of that. They've been making Muppet movies since 1979. Miss Piggy can get her own.

Barbie was pretty funny and a good date night movie. The premise was "what if Barbie got depressed". It's not that deep. Go cry about superheros or something.

Superheroes are stupid too lol now what?

“Not reading all that” is an L, you being anti intellectual because you can’t actually defend the premise

So “what if Barbie was depressed” is not that deep but “what if Miss piggy was cancelled” is strong?

And to get this straight: your argument for this being a strong premise is simply “Miss piggy deserves her own movie”? lol

Miss Piggy in the context of modern celebrity is a strong comedic premise. Which studio comedies did you enjoy in 2025? Let's compare

Mine were "what if a guy got broken up with" (Splitsville) and "what if Tim Robinson was Paul Rudd's friend" (Friendship).

Now we gotta give our best of lists lol but at least you finally defended the premise. I think “strong” is a strong word but to each their own. Just seems like another regular predictable modern film to me.
