Because sometimes, no millions of people are stuck in limbo or between a rock and a hard place. They want to move up and get a trade but cannot afford to leave the work force.

So their only choice is job corp

If you're a regular law abiding citizen...you can actually do well and score a trade in the end.

However very very very few regular citizens attend because everyone knows the population is mostly criminals, some violent gang members.

    Thanks mate

    Ok.

It's a place where the lowest of the low go to um "improve their lives and develop skilled trades."

Most of the um, "participants" have two choices

Judge - "Job core or straight to prison"

    Or

Judge - "Part of your probation REQUIREMENT means you MUST attended and complete job core to remain free"

So these guys and girl's are NOT there because they want to be, they just have no other choice.

Meanwhile once there your movement is surveilled and your movements are severely restricted. Can't go further than a certain distance from the site. Strict rigid curfews , inside the facility your movements and freedoms are very restricted.

You need special permission to actually leave and its very limited at best.
Also they're usually set up in the middle of f***ing nowhere or in low key towns so the chances of escape are slim to none.
The criminals either fail or just become waste men after they "complete it"

You will constantly be "tried" in order to fight, people steal etc.

    Absolute s***hole

    I don’t get the point
It just sounds like prison with extra steps

I knew two niggas who did this program. One was a 16 year old in 8th grade who got a chick pregnant, and the other was this hood dude from Alabama that used to work with me.

how comes some people decide to go there

don’t listen to that guy he keeps acting like he knows just cuz he knows someone who went. i’m in this b**** right now.

Fights - there’s fights often but they get T’d (terminated) immediately. And those usually happen over some girl here or for stealing.

Curfew - curfew in my center depends on your dorm staff and how your dorm mates act. if they constantly don’t listen n do dumb s*** you’re gonna have early curfew. If not, regular curfew is at 10pm. Weekends is 11.
Things to do- we have a rec center with plenty of stuff like video games, court, pool and a gym.

They feed you for free and you can get refills on everything food or drink! They really take care of you here and it be the dumb people that make things harder on everyone else.

bro you really need to stop acting like you know what you talkin about. you’re talking about an experience from someone that you know in one state. it’s not like that everywhere. i’m sorry that whoever you know had a hard time or was with terrible criminals but that’s not how this is here. most people in mine are just semi bad kids who are still in HS or are just homeless. yes there are criminals too, but at the location i’m at, they don’t even be on s*** like that.

Oh ok for sure. What’s the hardest part about being there? I’m the kind of person that likes their personal space and everything on my terms so this sounds like something I’d be fighting mfers about in there

Since i’m ass at math i’m stuck in it for a while so that’s the only hard thing for me. But it really depends on your roommates! I got cool ass roommates so personal space isn’t even a problem. we (two other dudes and me) respect each other enough to do what’s right. i don’t trust them completely but an understanding is there.

  • Jan 27, 2020

basically if you don’t start anything you’re gonna be fine. 2 people have tried me but i didn’t respond snd they never tried again. on your first day they gone feel you out like jail. as long as you ain’t a easy target or extra, you’re good.

i’m on the lowest level. not elementary but i guess middle school to HS. when i say i’m ass i meant it. barely graduated HS cuz of math and my step sister did my math in college ive been barely getting by for years. they not letting that happen here...you can’t start your trade till Academics is done. You either work on your diploma or test out of reading or math. And if you don’t test out you take the class.

Damn, keep at it bro I’m sure you’ll get through it. I lived through something like this in school because of math, I was in this advanced program and did well all around but there was like a year or two that I just couldn’t figure out the math and my teachers were dumbfounded that I was struggling then my freshman year I got placed into this class that everyone said was hard af where the teacher would call on you at random the entire class to solve equations so you’d be on your toes and this style of learning finally worked for me and I had a high average in there but I would stress over f***ing math to the point I hated it so I wish you luck man and advise to just keep trying if there’s a lot at stake like in your case

Maybe you're, used to such conditions?

I mean it's still a restrictive lifestyle regardless, and the general population, at the end of the end of the day, are not the most savory either.
