This man really wants to lose the election smh

    cnn.com/politics/live-news/biden-executive-order-immigration-06-04-24/index.html

President Joe Biden announced a new immigration authority that will allow the administration to ban asylum seekers who cross the border illegally.

The move is an attempt to address one of Biden's most urgent political problems in his reelection push. The announcement comes just weeks before the first debate between the president and his opponent, former President Donald Trump.

Idk, one of the most important voting groups is 18-35, and it’s extremely hard to get them to vote

I think this will just alienate a majority of this group further to not vote at all

Idk if you're right or wrong

But this looks like he thinks he has lost too many people to the right and is trying to pull them back over however he can.

    Seems desperate

I think he’s too far gone for most people who already decided on voting for trump, but maybe there are some swing voters that would decide on him based on this, but I think he’s alienating far more imo

You're probably right, he is over confident in the left voting for him in those age groups

He also met with Nikki Haley's supporters. Trying to pander to the right as much as possible and liberals are gonna blame "the left" when Biden inevitably loses this election

  • @op biden’s greatest achievement is normalizing trump policies and even making them harsher

attempting to outflank the right won’t get you their voters, they already hate you

It’s not that he’s lost people to the right

He’s lost people to the left and will not get them back because getting that vote means jeapordizing the corporate control over this government

Instead, he’s going right, since they’re disunited and in a general state of chaos

it seems like hes just doing the democrat playbook of attempting to be "both sides" like that has gotten anyone voted in since the 2000s or prior

Most of this country’s problems stem from corporate greed and capitalism as a system, including corporate control of the government

The left is turning their back because any sort of progressive legislation that could reasonably improve this country ( healthcare, education, transportation) has been actively opposed, lied about, eroded or otherwise stymied by the government. In Fact, our institutions are being dismantled and sold off to private companies!

And that is because this legislation makes less money for corporations, who’s bottom line is the fundamental bottom line of this nation

The left is turning towards collective power through labor unions, student organizations, local support organization, and collective political parties since the existing system has no interest in developing along the desires of the working class individual

Even if the third party doesn't win this round its probably good to give it momentum for the future.

yeah that's the point, I dont expect a win but more votes now = more donations + possibility of getting into the debates

Yeah I think I have a hard time understanding how much people feel this strongly to abandon Biden. I feel like a lot of people's fear of Trump is too much to ignore.

We are in a thread discussing Biden giving republicans their policy on a silver platter with no opposition, there is nothing to fear from trump that Biden isn’t doing

At minimum, a trump administration would see democrat opposition to fish for votes.

Right now it’s effectively a one party state

Trump’s only play is Project 2025. Literally anything aside from that, Biden is already doing
