U dont think the pod was different 2 years ago ?
a little, but not in any bad way. the other 3 dudes have grown a whole lot. like i remember when i hated that parks kept trying to talk, and now i love him. mal's less shy, and rory regularly matches joes energy now. whats gotten worse for you?
This dude really think he Rogan
No he doesn't
Clearly stated last episode that Rogan is in a whole different league lmao

so then why he bugging out over money? He bring up Ringer, Gimlet, and Rogan nonstop like if they even in the same ballpark.
I love the pod but man he can't think Spotify was about to cash out on his ass.
Could this be the beginning of the end or no? Could they make good money just going off youtube and DSP ad revenue with no partnerships?
Their videos on youtube average about 300k without heavily pushing it
So they'll probably go that route for a while until their next deal

I don't think it's the money
They gave him a offer which I'm sure is a lot of money
Spotify basically was tryna buy the podcast
This dude really think he Rogan
Rogan is trash lmao dude think he smart cuz he takes psychedelics and googles his info
with the whole not taking vacation thing and not giving them the bonuses - absolutely
but comparing himself to podcast networks who have tons of podcasts who are allowing themselves to be completely bought or comparing himself to joe rogan aint it
he was def the guinea pig for spotify to see if they would buy more podcasts but thinking that owes him a bigger bag off good faith is silly
I feel you but his point about Spotify spending $500m+ on purchasing Gimlet + Parcast goes hand in hand with not giving them bonsus.
They spent all that money acquiring two huge networks & the JBP was still #1 by a lot on all of Podcasting on Spotify. And they were obliterating every projection Spotify initially set for them by 900%.
So his point was: you spent all that money on podcasts after seeing our success on your platform & now you can't afford to give us bonuses that we obviously reach the criteria to receive, let us go on vacation, or buy us the watches that YOU went out your way to offer. That means you need us more than you think you do, so why are we still being treated like the guinea pigs when we're the cash cows?
