It's just an important takeaway from this beef IMO

People act like you owe it to your opponent to respond but you really don't owe them anything lol just keep attacking

It seems like you can’t have a real discussion with people anymore which is weird

Like just talk normal to people

bruh why respond so petty? grow up & talk normal

You don’t like what I said cool but the “this just in” stuff to start off your points makes me tune out immediately cause like why do all that Lmaoo

You stretching using the chord line from Kendrick because you know what I mean. The response to Drake bar for bar was lacking (Kendrick is a master rapper, I don’t doubt he could’ve responded in creative ways more directly) but again it didn’t matter to most clearly

I'm responding that way because yall are reiterating dead horses that have been beat tf down for months on this forum and on the internet and yall are resorting to points from confirmed stans in Ish on the podcast to support said dead horse.

Forgive the sassiness but yeah, that s***'ll get annoying to a point lol.

No one has ever won any rap battle disses by being defensive. Whatever creative ways you think Kendrick could've directly responded to Drake's bars ("but you f***ed up the moment you called out my family's name" and even the song title alone are great rebuttals to drake's entire FM song) won't compare to what kendrick actually did.

this just in: experiment626 discovers you can respond to bars without directly responding to them when you're that great of a lyricist ("why you trolling like a b****?" = responding to drake trolling ant and whitney )

( "tryna strike a chord and it's probably a minorrrr" = responding to drake bringing up his family and his children on fm and with the freeeee line )

2nd verse of NLU literally is a response to Taylor Made

Kendrick is never doing a drake/heart pt 6 track responding directly to accusations because as Drake finds out, playing defense doesn't sound good in beef. it never does.

“I heard that you got a ring, on god I’m willing to double the wage, I’d rather do that then let a Canadian nigga make Pac turn in his grave” literally a direct response to Taylor Made

nah they were too souped up on hyperfixating and obsessing over the daughter verse to actually fully absorb that song

  • Dec 22, 2024

you was signed to a nigga that signed to a nigga that said he was signed to that nigga not a response to we gotta see the splits the way you do the splits your pants might rip?

did kendrick have to respond to his shoe size or his height too?

  • Dec 22, 2024

niggas can’t even breakdown basic lyrics and understand how they connect to each song in the beef but wanna declare who was actually better lyrically

    just blows my mind

    Joseph is not wrong

Kendrick's songs were more popular to the public who latched on to explosive gossip like Drake having a hidden daughter, him being a pedophile, or that other rappers are against him too

Being sassy is just weird that’s all, ain’t no bad blood & I get we like to joke & s*** but there’s a line too for me when is see things going left on here

I’m not sure exactly how Kendrick could’ve responded (I never said he necessarily had to) I just pointed out the comparison between him & Drake in that regard and how I took the beef overall

    Disregard my entire post then

rap battlers don't even do rebuttals and the ones that can (e.g. DNA, holow da don, etc.) only give maybe 1 or 2 bars to rebuttal and then get back to what they was doin.

I'm really surprised Drake who's put money and support for rap battler leagues didn't do a better job in this battle tbh.

I don’t want/didn’t want anything, I just pointed out the comparisons between them two in the beef & how they executed it

But I don’t doubt Kendrick ability to respond in similar ways with his creative pen

It's a big reason why The Heart Part 6 is so bad

He really broke everything down accusation by accusation and what he attacked Kendrick with was...silly.

this is how u know these niggas just don’t like rap like that

even if you go superficial and listen to Ether v Takeover (Ether being the response) Nas isn’t going on defensive for the entire song he addresses some of the s*** off handedly, flips it, or stays on the attack

niggas dumb as s*** on here i swear

  • Dec 22, 2024

Heart 6 was bad not because of his choice to rebuttal, it was bad because it was poorly written

The breakdown was surface level & sloppy

That’s not what I’m sayin tho, Drakes rushed response to such claims killed him causingf lack of clarity in his approach

I think your confusing my responses to what I think they personally should’ve done vs what just simply happened & my thoughts on it
