nigga why are you saying this to me like I made the interview idgaf
I just watched and that idiot just goes 'domestic violence with Joe right?' and she didn't say a word. she prolly got caught off guard and didn't know what lie she would spew on the spot
Especially after reading op I think Joe needs his own network. How he hasn't yet with the way he talks about the power of the creator and knowing your worth as a creator is honestly beyond me
I think it's similar to the ye and nike situation. He can create his own thing, but the benefits that comes with using an already existing and successful infrastructure outweighs the benefits of starting his own network
the bum ass zoom quality is trash b, and I dont give a f*** about tahiry or that gay dude from wild n out interviewing her. I just wanted to hear what type of bs she was gonna say
they were arguing over millions and were gonna settle on like 200k worth of rolexes? wtf?
Never been a fan of Joe Budden, but i cant hate on a guy believing in his worth and working hard at actuating his vision.
Every new article I read about Spotify puts a bad taste in my mouth. Not to say theyre the only ones doing shady stuff, but just that theyre the unlucky ones to get widespread coverage.
As fields like these (music, podcasting, talkshows, etc.) develop a flatter entry curve to get into, im interested to see what ways people are doing to limit as much corporate interference as possible while also getting theirs.
Would love more posts about the inner workings of business deals, like how you can represent yourself in a deal, or how you can make an LLC on your own, like in this link: https://www.bmi.com/news/entry/how_to_start_your_own_music_publishing_company
spotify is garbage for some of the s*** they tried to pull on him
them trying to get him to record podcasts in advance while his father was dying ... yea it’s quiet

you can't just believe everything joe is saying
also, even if you do believe everything he's saying, you can't believe that the things he wants you to believe are egregious are actually egregious. he's always been good at painting narratives in his favour

no he hasn't lol joe has never not once in his life been able to paint a narrative in his favor
joe's narratives are about as strong as the paper they're written on
I’m still having a hard time believing some s*** Joe was saying.
Like if you have set benchmarks in a contract the other party can’t just lie and not give you your bonus or say we were hacked. There’s obviously some s*** missing from his story, a tech company as big as Spotify has a***ytics down to a tee and even if they were hacked they would have that data backed up multiple times over, which I doubt they were “hacked” in the first place because they’d have to disclose that.
I’ll never believe 100% of what either party puts out.
After Wednesday's podcast, I had a feeling they never even 'negotiated' with Spotify, which he confirmed on Saturday. I can't hate on anyone betting on themselves, but they could have at least attempted to work out a deal that benefitted both parties.
Spotify really didn't know that 360s ruined rap in the 00s or they just thought he was stupid
So he's mad he signed a bad contract and actually believed Spotify would do the right thing and give him money he wanted.
I really can't help but think of all those times Joe would pocket watch artists and roast them for their contracts. Telling artists to not trust these labels, brands, companies, etc because they'd never act in good faith.
Now here we are...

Yeah Spotify dumb as f*** in this situation, but at the same time, issa business. This is what they do. For Joe to believe they'd give him his proper due in a contract renegotiation when they were already able to get him for essentially pennies originally is very naïve of him.
