The production is sub-par
The content isn’t cohesive (e.g., Jay E is literally rhyming anything together)
Jay Z is on 90% of the man’s solo debut
Take all three of those variables and mix them in a pot and you have one of the most underwhelming projects to drop in a long time.
I’m being kind not including the fact that we waited 10 years for it
His is fair critique. I think the album is fire but those critiques are fair and jay Electronica had to expect people to feel like this
Why do artist get upset because joe said he doesn’t like some s***
They respect him
I think so too but it’s different when a rapper has to hold down the majority of it by himself
I would of rather had Act II tbh
Jay Elect always been a drake fan and has always shown it. This is a blessing mashAllah wallahi.
Buddens criticism is that the arguably best rapper ever had some better verses than jay elec wow what a diss
Yea Joe’s problem with the album has nothing to do with the actual music and more to do with the theatrics around the project.

The production being sub-par is on you, only one song which felt like it didn't work much was Flux Capacitor.
How is the content not cohesive? Jay E's subject matter is pretty consistent the whole way through. Jay Z being featured on most of the tracks is a plus in my eyes.
Having to wait 10 years shouldn't take away from how the album sounds.

Exactly bro, no hate no hyperbolic exaggeration of anything just straight up fair criticism from my perspective
Why do artist get upset because joe said he doesn’t like some s***
I think people front but they want respect from Joe. His platform is extremely relevant within the rap community. But that’s just my guess.
Still, you have no room to talk when you were the weakest rapper in your supergroup. Dropped multiple projects and were the weakest points of the albums. It’s all relevant.
Also that's debatable cause that nigga Joell Ortiz was definitely more the weaker link my g.
Joe was still the most popular member of the group at that time even tho it was cool to hate him even then (He did himself no favors of course.)
Hov the greatest my g.
A lot of Hov haters just getting their bars off itt is all my g.
I love Jay. Which is why this album dissapointed me. There's nothing on here that is remotely close to Exhibit A or Exhibit C.
In fact, one of the only tracks he outshined Hov on was Shiny Suit Theory, and that b**** is 10 years old 'nahmean?
To be fair, we gotta go back to what made Exhibit A and C so great to begin. Exhibit A had people talking about this unknown dude who supposedly been traveling across America honing his rap skills. Hardly anyone knew who he was outside of a 15min long EP/album. Then Exhibit A drops, people feel as if the new "rap messiah" has been found. With all the buzz circulating, Just Blaze comes through to Hot 97 and drops something equivalent to a nuke in the hip-hop world, Exhibit C.
With that much hype around those two songs, and at this point now nostalgia for those two songs, many people are still going to look back at those tracks as two of his greatest tracks ever. They're excellent songs, but to say those two tracks were his peak despite still dropping tracks where his ability as a rapper are still on those levels is a bit...well ridiculous.
Don't let nostalgia and hype cloud your judgement. Totally fine to say Exhibit A and C are still great tracks, they obviously are. But to discredit A Written Testimony because of them is some nonsense.

All this is pretty subjective besides the HOV point lmao
Listen to the podcast. He discusses the music.
I did hear his critiques, he didn’t like the production right? So why even get a Hov only version lmao
What??? Just say you don’t know what it means because you don’t understand the idiom lol. I’m done bro. Have a good day. You don’t understand the bar therefor it’s not good. lol. Have a nice day bro.
aight what does it mean then because you just saying that and not elaborating is p**** talk my g.
I would of rather had Act II tbh
It would’ve been better for Jay Elect imo. I’m happy with this tho because I’m a Hov stan. We just gotta keep it real.
I did hear his critiques, he didn’t like the production right? So why even get a Hov only version lmao
He's just taking a jab because Jay took a jab at him

He didn’t like the production and he felt that his rhyming on this wasn’t as sharp as it has been. That’s a fair critique.
Here's a rule of thumb:
See something getting praised to death by KTT? Best believe no one in the real world is f***ing with that s***

Nah lol you do your own homework lol. You said you understood what it means. I’m going to sleep. I just worked 12 hours. Have your homework finished when i wake up.
