The only really terrible song on the last Joey album was the one with Chris Brown. Should’ve never made it off the cutting room floor, that s*** was awful.
His "mainstream" attempts are always horrible lol
Mase and Cam'ron mentioned that jokingly. He said everybody in the west, regardless where they are, they're raising that W, but NY niggas are all about their boroughs and nothing else
even then niggas don’t even b supporting folk from they side

Y'all remember that Middle Child sounding single he released?
even then niggas don’t even b supporting folk from they side
That's sad as hell ngl
I hated when all them beast coast niggas toned down the raps and tried to get in their melodic bag. I'm all for niggas trying new s*** but everything ain't for everybody
Y'all remember that Middle Child sounding single he released?
Vaguely
I just remember a lot of people f***ing hated it and he went on to be like “I can experiment…”
Temptation from AABA or Devestated were probably his best results from him trying to do something outside of the NY Boom Bap box.

This bullshit here man
one of the better songs he put out since he came back
This bullshit here man
He accomplished the impressive feat of making Middle Child look great in comparison
I thought of this straightaway ngl
!https://youtu.be/fIeQXLJr6Yk?feature=sharedWhich is funny cause Jay is the one that gave Kendrick the superbowl spot
Can't forget the original

That song was the worst
Should have never been put on there
Some rappers need to be produced and guided. Maybe some of that is going on
I can see that. Like Madlib and Gibbs (imo)

*most rappers if we're being real
Controversial opinion: Although I liked 2000, I would've loved it even more if it was an actual 2000s themed album sonically. Think of Joey rapping over beats inspired by Dame Grease, Just Blaze, Bink, The Heatmakas, Music era Erick Sermon, etc. 2000 would have been a bit more impactful had that occurred but unfortunately Hip Hop artists are prone to playing it safe to not offend or scare their audience
