    I already hated the movie so the ending couldn’t have saved it even if it was good but this was an absolute dogshit way to end it

    Now that this Joker is done, can we PLEASE get an actual adaptation of The Joker that’s not trying to circumvent the most famous aspects of the character?

    I think it will be a while before we see Joker in DCU. It's weird enough that we will soon have two Batman stories running in parallel. Having 2 Jokers will muddy the waters even more.

    I'm kind of Joker-exhausted too tbh. He needs to be put on ice for a while.

    This being labeled a musical-drama plus the "Oscar bait" sounding ass title Folie a Deuxe was already a red flag for me that this would most likely suck and I was correct

    I know we still Barry Keoghan in the Reevesverse coming up but I really wish they would just give Joker a rest for a while on screen.

    I get Joker sells tickets but he's been overexposed IMO

    Batman has a dope rouges gallery where there's so many cool villains not named Joker.

    i grew up on musicals, still love them. this movie has no idea how to be one. the musical elements feel empty in relation to the story and only there to elevate the messy/subpar material like the scorsese ripping off was in the first film.

    I feel like Joker needs that aspect to work in a modern day context though. A goofy version of the character just comes off corny nowadays, it’s the same reason why we don’t get campy Batman adaptations anymore, it just doesn’t work with the nature of the character.

    It’s also why I’m a little worried for Gunn’s take on Batman
