Why
Have you seen what it's like out there, frolein? Do you ever actually leave KTT2? Everybody just yells and screams at each other. Nobody's civil anymore. Nobody thinks what it's like to be the other guy. You think men like Joe Biden, men at ease, ever think what it's like to be a guy like me? To be anybody but themselves. They don't. They think we'll all just sit there and take it like good little boys. That we won't werewolf and go wild.
My idea for a sequel would be Joker basically becoming a cult leader, establishing a Joker Gang that keeps his ideology alive, even outlasting him like in Batman Beyond. That way if they ever do crossover with a Batman film, he wouldn’t have to be a physical threat and the young Bruce problem would be solved. Plus it could be a way to introduce a good Harley not Margot Robbie and maybe set up a Killing Joke type story later down the line which I’d love to see.
Smooth brain take. Not nearly as similar as people make it seem. I'm convinced people who say this haven't seen the King of Comedy
Literally watched it a week before I watched this for the first time which is why it was so jarring because I literally had just watched it lmao
Does the last 25 minutes work as well without the build up of tension and gradual beating down of joker though?
I agree tho the last part is what makes the film to me besides some of the great acting like Joaquin pretending he was on Murray’s show in his living room and stuff
I would cut back some of the build up tbh. I’d save like the last 40 minutes for him doing Joker s***.
Like him being beat down and practicing being on the Murray show was great but I think his side story with Zazzie was dumb especially how they revealed it with the flashbacks.
I’m all in for Joker 2 if it’s basically the last 25 minutes of Joker 1 stretched out to 2 hours. Just basically seeing Joaquin doing wild ass s*** for 2 hours.
Well the beginning of this movie should play off the fact the end of the first one could have been all in his head
Play off of that, keep us guessing, build up tension, and then boom he breaks out again.
No Country for Old men was Terminator but based in reality
I thought of that immediately after I posted it. You right.
I'd be down if it was less pseudo deep think and more clown themed mafia boss.
Less "You gotta have a certain level of intelligence to like the Joker"

what made joker 1 pseudo deep for you?
what made joker 1 pseudo deep for you?
The ideas around Joker being a product of his environment and bits of classism felt shallow. And even the bathroom dance bit came off more comedic than anything
