like he is insecure as f*** but no reason to leak all of these specific text and put us in the situation. She could easily say don't date an insecure man that ask you to take photos down in anyway. I don't want to in anyway make excuses for him or look like I am coming down on her but why was she at any point being like "yes I took 3 photos down" then doing this. her boundary she would set is saying "no this is bullshit or hey can you be specific from beginning or hey this is insecurity " vs doing all this

lol wild this in movie section but the term boundaries is being used in so many different wants recently when its really just insecurity, anxiety and stuff.

Like the true boundary is cheating the other things that makes you think someone is cheating on you isn't boundaries its need to chill on the coke . Its being vulnerable and communicating or recognizing why someone would want to leave in the first place

But I am warry @insertcoolnamehere of calling him a psycho, misogynist, narcissist when its really just insecurity. Can call it manipulation all of those things its fair but this likely isn't the first time he has brought these insecurities or whatever up. Its also manipulation to reveal text out of context in a relationship or larger situation the internet is not a part of . That is all I am saying in the sense Jonah Hill isn't saying something leak worthy in the terms of immediate harm or directly lying or pertinent s***. he is insecure don't get me wrong

Exactly. Everyone can see it comes from an insecure place, and yes it looks dumb to US because we don’t have those insecurities he has.

  • Its wildly insecure again don't get me wrong but there is much more serious abuse out there than " stop posting your ass on instagram for likes from men"

List is stupid but it's not like he forced her to do those things, he gave her the option. She didn't like it and left, that's really all there is to it lol

Niggas getting mad for no reason. he told her his boundaries and said if she aint with it then she can leave.

Like that text reads like he's already aware of what she's about. So if he already knows that, why even try to get with her?

just bcuz there's a clear reason for it doesn't make it any more justified tho

narcissist meaning someone that thinks of themselves as higher importance.

in one of the messages in the thread he says that time spent surfing is time away from him. In that example, he is putting himself over something that she has probably been into long before jonah even got into her life, probably long before she even watched a movie of his.

That is textbook narcissism. And as an artist I see this with a lot of folks that think they can put themselves above someone's passion that they've been into all their lives (women be doing this a lot if they nigga's an artist truss me lol) and then putting ultimatums on the relationship vs. their lifelong passions.

That's manipulation and narcissist. And maybe I'm biased cause I've seen/been through this but I'm 1000% calling anybody man or woman psycho that has this mentality

....so why even pursue her in the first place?

Not defending him pursuing a surfer and not wanting her to post sexy surf pics. That’s between them and we have no idea how they met or hit it off for this to even be the situation.

My only point is he is entitled to his boundaries, weird as they may be. If she doesn’t like it then she can leave. She isn’t entitled to being able to break his boundaries, just as much as he isn’t entitled to forcing someone into his.

I would disagree with the sentiment more if he was attempting to force it on her or was being verbally or physically abusive to get the result he wanted. He just spoke his mind and gave her the choice, and she chose to leave. /thread

Him having weird boundaries isn’t gonna be justifiable to us, and neither is her posting these text messages.

Liberal society obsessed with therapy talk is all about “setting boundaries” because that’s healthy.
    Man sets boundaries.
Liberals call him out and try to attack him on his masculinity.

That's not what setting boundaries mean per psychologists
