I think it’s even more confusing for casuals because this film is titled like a Jordan Peele movie (the short & to the point one/two word statement titling)

Sinners isn't some unattainable high bar tho. If anything, it has weak pacing/plotting, and a script that needed another go-round. It just so happened to capture the zeitgeist by being timely, and the film genuinely looks good.
