US is like the perfect example of a film that's genius on a metaphorical level but doesn't make any sense on a literal plot level. I still had fun with it tho.

CRACKASTEPPAVEGANSinners isn't some unattainable high bar tho. If anything, it has weak pacing/plotting, and a script that needed another go-round. It just so happened to capture the zeitgeist by being timely, and the film genuinely looks good.

If that was the case it would’ve been removed from the schedule years ago. The Weapons script was bought by New Line in early 2023.
Also, people don’t realize Poole wasn’t trying to buy the Weapons script to direct it. He was trying to buy it via his production company so that they could produce & release it. He writes all of the films he directs
