cyclopsHe definitely is. People watch his movies because his name is attached to it and trust his vision and knows his style for filmmaking. I would say that is definition of an A list director. Same with the movies he produced. His name is the brand for those movies

Need to see how he does next tbh. I also think Peele being a public figure prior probably skews it a bit. He is just more known than most directors who are at his level box office pull wise.

To back to this point, Monkeypaw Productions has used Peele’s name as producer to significantly market three of their films: Candyman, Monkey Man, and Him.
All of them flopped at the box office.
So I don’t think this is a valid argument for him being an A-List name quite yet

Superhero films are a genre just like anything else man, why not have the best creators take a stab at it?
