so his last two took 4-5 months to shoot.

us had 6 months between wrapping and release
nope had 8 months between wrapping production to release

so this dropping next xmas i guess seemed kinda ambitious to begin with

His movies have been 3 for 3 me personally. I liked Nope but didn't love it when I first saw in the Theaters.

But upon further rewatches I really appreciate what the movie was going for and what it was trying to say about spectacle.

It was more slower paced than his other movies deliberately because it was more western sci-fi than thriller/horror. I really love Kaluuya and Palmer's sibling chemistry they really carried the movie as the two leads.

Summer/Fall 2025? Probably Christmas 2025 more likely.

The fact he even has a new idea written and almost (?) ready to shoot is exciting enough tho

I hope so tbh or sci-fi. But I’m biased because I don’t like horror. Didn’t find Nope or Get Out to be scary so I was able to enjoy them

I knew it would get pushed back. We’ve heard no news about it and the strikes probably slowed down the writing process

Cast/synopsis/early teaser poster gonna hit like coke in the 80s.

With US and Nope he dropped early announcement posters a year before release so I hope we get that again. Small way to kick off the era & show the tone early

The NOPE one was especially intriguing. I still can't believe how divisive that film is.

divisiveness amongst it's audience often signifies an uncompromised piece of art

its a remarkable film. not perfect but it has a clear perspective on its themes, presents it well with just enough ambiguity and honestly is a great error

i think it will always leave a good amount of people just like but anyone who gets it can at least appreciate some parts of the film even if they dont enjoy the sum of its parts
