Lol... You uncultured swine. Obviously Joy Division.

Feel like the uncultured choice is JD given their popularity

New Order for me great band

  • Sep 12, 2021

I like Elegia more than any Joy Division song these days so New Order I guess

new order. quick story, first time i ever hooked up with a girl,we were chillin in her room listenin to music, starting makin out with her then started eatin her out, she told me she had took some s*** before i got there (was mad green then aint understand what d*** it was), so as im eatin her out, she like falls asleep. so immediately im like oh f*** im gettin out this b****. i shook her awake real quick and asked where her phone was, went to go look at it cuz i was f***ing with the song and needed to know what it was before i left. got this classic out of it

Ian’s lyrics are unmatched. The band died with him. New Order is good bad solely because they are good musicians. There's nothing revolutionary with them.

    Just framed a Technique poster

I love both, really hard to compare. Age of Consent is my favorite song OAT so I’ll give the edge to New Order

Blue Monday was revolutionary. New Order helped establish rave culture. Massive influences in different directions from both bands which is wild that they achieved success twice like that.

    That's true.

Joy Division’s music is slightly more enjoyable for me, but New Order has like 5 undisputed classics so i’ll go with them

  • More familiar with the former but “Age of Consent” and “Bizarre Love Triangle” and this are great

(And “Ceremony”, but that’s kind of a Joy Division song so it doesn’t count in this case.)

    New Order for me.

Brotherhood is in my personal top 10.

  • Sep 22, 2021

    Joy division still clear

  • Sep 22, 2021

    JD

  • Sep 22, 2021

Joy division by a considerable amount no shade to New Order

What variation of the band do you enjoy more?

Personally, love both. But I can't choose against my boy Ian Curtis so Joy Division.

    New Order
