Every single gas station near me is out of gas so I'm confused on them claiming the shortage isn't that bad even in cities affected.

From what I read, by the end of the weekend pipeline systems should be restored. Then deliveries will start, people will panic and buy the first wave then in a week or two everything will go back to normal
