It was hard to follow, but Sukuna fights at such a grand and fast pace that I think that alone aids in being able to overlook it. You got the gist that it was chaos and the aftermath brings it all home.
Honestly the mix of key animators was a bit wild altho it makes sense since we know sukuna is so fast he can basically teleport.
I also loved that they offered a very different experience to the manga
Honestly this the most consistent 2 course season I have ever seen. Sure there is like what… a handful of wonky shots?! In 17 episodes of nonstop insane action!
Its unreal i thought we were gonna get CGI Mahoraga lmfaoo
Clearly the animators care so much about this IP.
This is utter nonsense

………
Btw i loved the amount of literal cooking words/lingo was used this episode, malevolent kitchen was probably a too direct translation but other than that it was great lmao specially knowing currently that Sukuna speaks in that manner in japanese so we know its not a mistranslation
these amazing scenes sadly got particularly ruined by dimming
Version without dimming (with editing):

the black lines to depict his slashes is so fire when it's contrasted with all the colors and s*** going on
So how does like blu rays work. Do they give the slaves a chance to finish their scenes?

Small detail because the moment Mahoraga began to be able to see the slashes we were also able too

Doubt it but we can still cope

pretty sure they do polish stuff up and make some edits cus that's what has happened with seasons of AoT and such
idk if streaming services actually update the episodes tho

anime really shouldn't have cut down on sukunas monologuing during the fight
feel like a lot of anime onlies not gonna understand what maho is all about and what happened that let sukuna win

Crunchyroll only use their simulcast (because they are an awful website)
I know a good way tho

Ya that’s exactly what I’m thinking of.
God knows we need this art at 100%. I’ve watched 40 like 6 times. Already on 2 for 41

are you sure?
I thought they translated every line. The issue is more that they added like 90% new stuff to the fight since its actually super short in the manga
Im actually so happy with what we got. Cannot stop watching this episode. It hurts that many animators arent happy with their result and the discussion is taking from their beautiful work.
At the same time I understand that this is also a good moment to finally expose this industry

they cut out the parts where sukuna was kinda thinking and slowly realizing things
"it's wounds are healing, whats next"
"it deflected the attack"
"if I'm understanding this correctly it'll stand up now"
feel like it was easier to show that it's adapting over time the more something is used against it
Itadori regaining control and seeing how Sukuna f***ed s*** up was a crazy moment though. Him and Megumi gonna have serious PTSD after this s*** is said and done

you right altho they added some nice bits like him getting the gills when drowned underwater which I liked alot cause it shows he is evolving not just nullifying which was how it seemed like till the spoiler fight
dont be sorry
