really needed the narrator here lol, kinda made nobara look goofy
Gege so disrespectful lmao
wym hxh has major character deaths literally who died
Other ppl in the thread already said them but a character dying being major or minor doesn't really matter to me. It's how it's handled If anything Nobara's death is actually worse to me because she's from the trio. She dies not really doing anything outside of her fight with yuji vs the cursed wombs which was genuinely cool. Her backstory does not matter at all, Gege refuses to confirm rather she's dead or not 100+ Chapters later, Hell Gojo doesn't even talk to her or even mentions her when he came back to fight sukuna. Ppl like to say she's better then sakura but sakura actually contributes way more to the plot

I really disagree with the idea that every major character has to contribute something to the big plot in order for their story to matter. This isnt Naruto, not everybody gets to become OP and save the world.
JJK is character driven. Its about a corrupt society that sends teenagers into an endless cycle of killing the same man eating monsters until they or everybody they love die. The overarching plot is fantastic but its also a lure for us to engage with the actual characters that take on the task of fighting the villains and curses. We get to experience their lifes, why they choose to fight the fight and what they mean to others. Nobara, Yuki, Mechamaru, Nanami and all others didnt die doing something significant. They didnt save the world. All that is left is for us to experience their stories and how their emotions leaves an impact to the survivors. Yuki for example influenced the entire story with her ideology and her motivation to end the cycle by teaching todo who then taught Yuji
Gege clearly doesnt care about who is the most significant showed by his hatred for gojo. Who everybody cant shut up about but in the bigger picture doesnt even have that much screentime.
Sorry for the rambling lol. What I am trying to say is. This isnt a story where everybody gets to be the hero there is plenty out there you can watch that has every significant character do big things. But its clearly not what gege is telling in jjk. Not to act like its super deep but its more about questioning if all they struggle is worth it especially in this dogshit society that jjk presents

I feel like it's gritty and I like that. I could be bias bc Gantz is one of my favorite animes, but I like it. Keeps it grounded, not everyone gets to go out in grand fashion, it's combat against enemies who aren't pulling punches. In Gantz you never knew who was on the chopping block and how. Gantz killed so many main members in a single arc and to me that solidified there are some real stakes in this s***.

It wasn’t animated correctly when Mahito switched

JJK is defiantly plot driven with maybe a lil character moment sprinkled on every once in a while. Things that could build character like how toji is crazy because his wife died are just bullet points in the end of the chapter.
Since post shibuya its been basically fight after fight, an explanation of the culling games or an explanation on ppls powers.
we just had a one month time skip in the manga and Gojo didn't even talk to any of his students. That's something that would add character but gege skips on this type of stuff all the time
I don't need the characters to be OP and go toe to toe with sukuna or kenjaku. But if the main thing ppl are gonna be doing in the manga is fighting. Then give a character at least one good fight where they come up on top. A character doing one thing and just dying in a battle manga without doing s*** to their opponent gets lame there's a reason ppl don't like Yuki, Nobara, and yaga's death and are upset about a likeable character like miwa doesn't really do anything. Aot has plenty of deaths like in JJK but they work better because the characters are better developed and their deaths mean something Sasha's death is a giant driving point throughout season 4\. with the exception of nanami i don't think any jjk death is as good
I bet nobara and todo will both show up together once they find a way to repair idle transfiguration since both were wounded by it. There’s a reason todo is being saved right now from reentering the manga

The fights barely move the plot forward in fact we went like what 3 steps in 3 years by now? Kenjaku starting the Culling game, Taking Tengen and Sukuna taking megumi the fact people could barely tell you the plot of jujutsu kaisen pre shibuya should just tell you how little we got especially when you compare it to HxH which in the same time tackled like 6 completely different arc.
while we do spend alot of time about the explanation of the systemts for sure this is sorcery fighting after all, it doesnt mean it isnt the characters that drive the story. The primary objective of the cg for the students was saving megumis sister first then Gojo. And nobody gave af about protecting Tengen at first
With the Gojo timeskip yes for sure I give you that we did not see much and jumped straight to the fight. However if you look at the latest 6 chapters we got plenty and the story isnt over too so I guess we will learn most of it now that the big fight is over.
Also calling Sasha death good is like the worst example. I could also say what bad writing sasha did nothing in the story and was more famous as a walking meme. People also clowned Isayama for his treatment of Annie so maybe we should just let gege cook
People begging for Gojo comeback while im coping for Nobara for 3 years now
Jojo, Hunter x Hunter, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death note, attack on titan, Chainsaw Man. I fw jjk but y'all gotta stop acting like Gege killing characters is some revolutionary s***
Bro you know what I mean Major character deaths is a rare thing in shonens. Newer ones like JJK are changing the narrative
If the next two episodes adapt three and four chapters respectively and they assemble the avengers for animation both time, then they did it even under the circumstances. They would have delivered.
First off stop the sexist allegations. Gege doesn’t even write his story based on sex, and he doesn’t put fan service with any oversexualization, nor make his female characters scared damsels. He makes them equals in terms of being enlisted for battle. Maki, Yuki, Angel, and mei mei are strong characters. All written great regardless of what you think is their fate, and Maki might just go down as a top tier character of all time and I’m not talking top tier females either, but characters in general. People just look too much into s*** and try to make a mangaka to be an loser, when most are perverts instead and Gege avoided that, like the goat he is.
Plus people really arguing about the deaths in the show only now because it is being animated when Nobara has been MIA for 3 years is stupid. Like what are we doing? This is more realistic in terms of death doesn’t discriminate even if you are a main character. And if the situation you are in is dire such as you shouldn’t go towards that threat because it is looking to kill (Mahito) then it will lead to your demise if you go. I hate deaths in mangas which feel forced to be all emotional. It should be realistic. People are just looking to argue and don’t even know that her status in the first place is left ambiguous so calm your t\*\*\*.
kinda cool nothing special but some good animation. this the OP for the game that comes out I guess

fight dont move the plot forward lmfao this isnt something new
One Piece spending 50 chapters on Luffy vs Kaido tell me exactly what happened to the plot of One piece during that year
Ill alway go to bed happy knowing gege doesnt give the jjk a fanservice story where every semi-cool character gets their marvel movie moment and Gojo will stay dead
