This makes a lot of sense lmao
Not saying it couldnt be true but pretty sure the guy who tweeted that just made it up

Any tweet that doesn’t follow up with a source is engagement farming.
Came in this thread just to see people hating on a manga they follow. I’m done at this point lol
If I don’t continue see the dumb bs bad takes for jjk, it’s just boring to read. Just don’t read it, and stay in the threads you like. Trust me, the manga I read is small for a reason, and the ones I like i don’t complain about. It’s that simple.
I’m not about to write a whole thesis on a mangaka writing style when I don’t like it. You’re too involved. Only time I ever spoke on a manga I didn’t like was Bleach (only its last arc) and I realized how pointless and stupid that was and never spoke on it again. I don’t even consume or care about it. Yet JJK “haters” or critics love being annoying lol

I dont think the guys hate jjk they just dont like the way things are going. Atleast the people itt. This a forum were here to discuss
But yeah on Twitter its definitely tons of people hating on whats popular for engagement.
If I understand correctly, the "brain" needed Geto's body because his plan hinged on using Geto's technique to extract idle transfiguration and thus initiate the contracts he made centuries ago.
I'mma be honest; I'm a manga reader, but the writing around this plan, to me, always seemed convoluted as hell. Because there's no way he could've predicted all the factors that led to him ultimately pulling it off.
from what I understood and also some things that Tengen mentions later on - he wasn’t banking on Geto, but that Geto’s existence made everything possible then and there.
That’s why I believe in the finale he says “Now that I have this body, those vows (that he made with cursed spirits) are moot”
So if he had planned for Cursed Manipulation to exist he wouldn’t have bothered to make vows with both cursed spirits and cursed users - he would’ve just made pacts with users. That’s how I understood it at least
last episode probably the weakest animation wise (which is good because that allowed them to have the high standard for the rest) but the soundtrack and voice actors killed it

chill out
There's only one guy who I've seen come in here with pure hate s***posts, everyone else likes JJK overall but have critiques about some of the writing. Twitter is generally trash, at least on forums people flesh out their critiques. I don't agree with everything that has been said but I can understand where and why they might feel like they do.
I'm personally waiting to re-read this arc once it's done because reading an arc in one go vs reading week to week are very different experiences.

He would always need Geto's body to initiate the Culling Games. That is an essential part of his plan.
I could be wrong, but the way I understood the vows is as follows: after obtaining Geto's body and his CT, his vows with the sorcerers of the past became null because he's now able to make vows with cursed spirits.
Regardless, the reason his plan ultimately worked was just because of pure luck (Geto and his innate CT existing, Toji killing Riko, Mahito surfacing and dying under perfect conditions).
Been hearing so much about this show, finally decided to check it out Only watched literally the first episode but like the guy above me is saying, heavy Bleach vibes. Like that episode is almost identical to the first episode of Bleach
About 10 episodes in, I'm hooked Can't wait to see the Exchange Event with the other school. That Toudou guy had me dying

Fushiguro would've been dead if he was the one to run into Higurama. Also pretty cool ace attorney vibes in that fight with him and Itadori.
Gojo dying off screen is certainly something I did not see coming... Also wondering what will the author come up with so that Sukuna survives the executioner's sword hit. RIP Higuruma :cryfam:

People are in love with that guy I truly have no idea why
Makes me kinda understand why people enjoy gag faces

He is relateable as a bit of your typical university bum. Seems like a gag character but has a very real reason for his actions that go back to his childhood. Sure does not have some over the top tragic story just some former classclown that wants to connect to people through his comedy. Somebody who is kinda unfunny and pursues his basically impossible dream regardless. Steals the role of MC for a mini arc and basically saves 100 milion peoples life through his comedy without people ever really knowing if thats not 🐐 behavior I dunno what is

Megumi Fushiguro?
Aint no way Toji would let Higu touch him
Pretty sure Gege's biggest inspirations are Kubo and Togashi
Maybe a bit of Soul Eater too

Megumi is much smarter tho and no chance he has done something that wouldve gotten Higurama the executioners sword he is also 15 I doubt Higurama would even dare kill a child unless they literally did mass murder. Also he actually fought for a pretty good reason and while he was very tense I think chances are he high he could appeal to Higuramas good side
