Apocrypha 22 was directed by Hakuyu Go, and his episodes can reach a pretty unattainable level of epic-ness as his placement of animators is carefully constructed

It will likely be more so a Ranking of Kings Episode 21 type of ordeal, considering Gosso’s involvement with that sequence

Exactly, the culling game was fire and only had one part which didn’t have the same execution imo (Maki’s colony but it was still pretty good)||. Literally without it we wouldn’t have peak ||Yuta, Hikari, Higuruma, Kashimo, Reggie, and Ryu. And Yuki and choso’s fight was dope as hell, despite how you feel about her death which to me was fitting, as her ideology conflicted with Kenjaku since the beginning.People act as if Maki was the whole arc lol

Tbh it's already so goat.. like kishimoto and others could learn a thing or two about the Gojo arc... namely not having 20 chapters/10 episodes of fkn flashbacks and how to tell time varying stories in one plot style ACTUALLY well (JJK > shonen, Dark 3 > Big 3)

Wholeheartedly disagree but each their own. Most people’s favorite characters came from culling game. Plus Kashimo vs Hakari and Sendai 4 are in many’s top 5 fights in the series. All the way up to Maki’s portion was everyone loving it. And Higuruma is probably one of the deepest characters in the show.

And where did this odd hate train for complexity in shonen come from when people love hunter x hunter like that s*** had whole pages explaining s*** and people loved those arcs or chapters lol
