I don’t think “one of the greatest” is a stretch at all . There’s a ton of anime arcs out there and i don’t think anyone would bat an eye if this was like between 9-15 on someone’s list

like if i stayed in shonens i wouldnt put this over or in the same league as kyoto arc from rurouni kenshin, android saga in dbz, dark tournament saga in yyh, etc and if i go past shonens then lol....

i still would say its one of the best in its generation tho

What are the chances it goes down like this? Gojo actually kills both Mahoraga and Sukuna, but in the process suffers great damage and sees his power heavily reduced. However, Sukuna will be able to revive himself through some sort of device, i.e., his "trump card" (which, imo, definitely has something to do with whatever Yoruzu handed him). This scenario sets up things for Gojo's students to face off against Sukuna and keeps Gojo alive so he can eventually have closure with Kenjaku. One thing I'm not sure of, though, is what will happen to Megumi in the midst of all of this. Maybe Sukuna is somehow able to return to his original form and in the process Megumi actually dies and that is what finally snaps Yuji into forcibly evolving his skills?
