Meanwhile im watching 10 minute history videos and really cool s*** like craftsmanship, cooking recipes, and product design retrospectives on tiktok. Its literally just youtube now imo
Im convinced now that its all in the algorithm

Do you think having those two apps prevented you from getting into those activities?
I'm just wondering

nice, good work
if Instagram could make it where just like facebook, you can have your messages/DMs independent of the actual app, would've definitely deleted the main app by now tbh.

big facts
My whole electricity went out for about 15-20 minutes last week and bruh it was so relaxing to not feel the I guess "need" or "impulse" to have to do something on my computer every xx minutes

Yes cause rather than spend 3 hours a day on social media I needed to find new hobbies otherwise id be bored.
Having the time to try out new hobbies (whether you end up liking them or not) is a luxury.
I don't think i would have experimented with different things if I hadn't deleted it.
And once you do try new things, you realize how much more rewarding they are. 30 mins jogging makes you feel infinitely better than 30 mins wasted on TikTok.
I didn't delete YouTube but I am also spending way less time watching vids vs before. Once you realize that there's so much more fulfilling experiences in life than staring at a video screen, there's no going back.

Damn yeah that's a lot of time on social media so that makes sense it's such a barrier
Great work though man sounds like your quality of life has drastically gone up in just 31 days
Instagram was cool until they introduced reels, that s*** is diabolical as f***
S*** sucks because I keep in touch with a lot of friends through IG but the algorithm always finds a way to lure you into these f***ing addictive videos
