Mitch posting
nobody gonna get this
Damn that’s pretty crazy.
How did you figure this out? Just when you went to get your eyes tested?
You literally don't know what you're missing, and after suppression starts (when the eye starts "shutting off" when it's drifting, usually in childhood) it's even more subtle & people often mistake the symptoms for things like anxiety
I had a lot of signs that led me to seek a diagnosis, I'm gonna make a somewhat comprehensive list because it's extremely hard to tell if you do have it, and the info online only describes pre-suppression symptoms:
1. I subconsciously tense up in some way when I'm doing any semi-nearby work like writing on a paper, playing videogames
The tensing becomes normalized so you don't notice, but it manifests itself in extremely volatile or high resting heart rate (I get jumps to 120+ sometimes), jaw/"sinus" aches, occasional dizziness (if you haven't started suppressing)
This leads to probably the worst symptom imo: diminished performance the longer you spend on a task
2. Also, when I'm walking around sometimes, especially in open places with tall ceilings, hallways, or crowds, I feel very weird
3. Difficulty tracking moving objects
Losing your place while reading constantly, re-reading
Sensitivity to light
Struggling to tell if you're "in the lines" when driving
Difficulty judging distance between objects
Subtle head tilt leading to neck pain, usually on one side of the neck
Poor coordination/balance/clumsiness
Tilting your head and/or the notebook when writing, trailing upwards or downwards when writing
4. Also, both when I got contacts and when I started Vyvanse, I had difficulty seeing up close and my vision was getting blurry
Does everything look like old Mario or Sonic games?
Not quite, my eyes just don't "wrap around" objects

Sheeesh this sounds rough my guy, I’m glad you’re going to be able to start fixing the issue.
