Well, it's not so subtle but my brain suppresses the eye that drifts out
With prism lenses, it can exacerbate double vision by relaxing your eye muscles and removing suppression
Only been looking out of one eye at a time for most of my adult life due to eye suppression (because of alternating intermittent exotropic strabismus, as a result of convergence insufficiency)
Basically my eyes are subtly misaligned (completely physically unnoticeable) so they don't work together
Getting prism glasses soon to temporarily correct the issue/provide relief but I have vision therapy lined up, which is proven to be highly effective
Didn't realize that I've been seeing the world wrong
Ask me anything
EDIT: ALSO, forgot to add, I've been doing exercises on my own and I started seeing glimpses of 3D for nearby objects
The first one I saw was the tip of an opened banana
That s*** was so detailed and I could see all the grooves in it, was f***ing insane
Wow i have this problem too and it’s f***ing life changing to be able to see properly. Just be aware you may have to get multiple surgeries or up the prisms since you’re old enough to where s*** is really adjusted to be f***ed up in your brain
When I was a kid, but I wasn't great at any of them because ADHD + this is not a good combination
Especially any that involve catching balls (:dash:); my hand-eye coordination didn't line up at all, but other cues helped somewhat
I used to be decent at batting in baseball funnily enough
Never expected to encounter somebody else w this at my age In my whole lifetime
Happy you’re getting treatment fr
me hoy minoy
top 5 post oat
that's crazy man hope your vision gets better and start enjoying the depth field
when art class mentioned depth of field op thought it was a joke
So the earth is flat from your point of view
I wouldn't lead with this on dates but yeah

I wasn't planning on surgical alignment and the prism is extremely light (+0.5BI)
I'm pretty confident vision therapy will restore stereoscopy as I'm already getting glimpses mow
you were on some real life Paper Mario s*** damn
glad you correcting things though
dead

Is it really highly effective? I don't want you to be disappointed with high assumptions.
I have a rare eye condition that only 0.1% of the population has. One eye of mine is nearsighted, one eye of mine is farsighted. In cases like mine, you must wear glasses at a young age, otherwise, you can get a lazy eye because your brain will just choose one eye to see and the nerves of the other eye will deteriorate. I wore glasses as a kid for many years so my brain has gotten used to it and my eyes are fine, although one eyeball is bigger than the other if you really look close (people won't notice it unless I tell them).
Do you have a lazy eye?
