my boss was on my side on walking out/wasn't mad at all.
So you’re going back in or you’re done for good?
Yep
thought so, we all know what that means
you did the right thing
but me personally, i would’ve done some evil s*** before leaving tbh
s/o to the manager for cutting you some slack. that's what we need more. more understanding and empathy
@op Update title to "Just walked back into job"
I like having money too much to quit a job without having a back up plan.
But it's dope that OP was able to stand up for himself like that
Type me trying to quit my dreadful cushy $250k+ tech job rn
you crazy b****** you actually did it
So you’re going back in or you’re done for good?
Well, they still are paying me for the day I walked out/are taking action against the employee for her comment and assured me no retaliation will be taken on my end (I got it in writing) I feel comfortable working there for the time being.
I have written up my resume finally and will hit a few restaurants/nursing homes in town since I realized I want to pursue cooking as a career, and while I genuinely do appreciate my job, it doesn't make me happy as I once did unless I'm on that oven.
In this economy ?
You know, in the moment of frustration I didn't really care since the bagel place next door is struggling down bad and the owner knows my skillset already.
