It's not solely a need, some people collect sneakers, books, paintings and etc. while other people like collecting guns. They don't and shouldn't have to justify it.

The 2nd Amendment should be crossed out of the Constitution and a new amendment should be written claiming that the 2nd is no longer a right in this here United States.

At the time the country was founded, it made sense coming off of terrible British rule and genocidal weapons didn't exist. To legally be allowed to be in possession of weapon that is capable of destroying dozens of human beings in seconds is asinine in today's age.

Anyone defending the 2nd amendment are nothing more than privileged white folk that have a forest for a backyard and the words guns and bullets just mean sport and hunting to them while to those from the city they mean robbery, murder, and gang violence.

Don't give me that 'to stop a bad guy with a gun you need a good guy with a gun' or that we need them to defend against the military/police or that cities with the strictest gun laws are the most deadliest, blah, blah, blah. Those have all been debunked.

There is no rational humane reason for the 2nd amendment to continue to exist.

I actually agree that America is in too deep to ban guns. Guns should have been banned at the turn of the 20th century. This is why I suggest an extreme approach to banning guns; All must have their guns confiscated and if you're caught with a gun after the ban you shall be punished by death. This way possessing a gun is a literal death sentence.
