The people praising the ultimate cut were people who liked the theatrical generally and jus thought it was a better version of it

But I’d imagine for a lot of the people who hated the OG film, they’d just hate the ultimate cut even more

I think the producers should have trusted their creatives and it likely would have lead to better films than some of them ended up being, but ultimately you’re not going to get to a level of the MCU by trusting artists. That takes a producer mentality who knows how to effectively cash out and market films as products rather than experiences
