Based on this movie I don't think that they are propping up Darkseid to be next big villain of the series.

I think they're making Superman the big bad. There's nothing in the film that tells me Superman is not the strongest character in both a hero and villain capacity.

When they looked in the future, they did not see Darkseid destroying that s***, they saw Superman destroying that s***. Period.

And furthermore, niggas weren't scared of Darkseid in this film.

They were trying to stop the 3 Mother Boxes from coming together. Cus apparently that was a one-hit KO.

That's also what they were fighting for "back in the day". Niggas didn't give a f*** about Darkseid. They were fighting to stop the Unity

The key to making your big bad work is to make them feel unstoppable but also to be able to frame them in a underdog scenario.

Thanos had to work for that win in IW.
