"Ready the armada, we'll use the old ways" sounds like he's retreating? Idk to me that sounds like he's planning an invasion
Like I said, I'm not trying to be argumentative but yes that is the definition of a retreat. They left the battle to re-strategize.
Usually in a superhero film, it's the heroes who have to do that after they take an L to the big bad.
Cap was giving him the work with Thor's weapon. And prior to Tony getting the gauntlet it never seemed like Tony was giving Thanos much trouble
and? It’s still cap laying in the work? Who cares who’s weapon it is?
Also they literally all on Titan had this man grounded and paralyzed and Tony put in a lot of work to do that.
Justice League War was 1,000 times better for Darkseid than his movie. I would not recommend niggas to watch this s*** if they wanted to know who Darkseid was.
At this point it gotta be a agree to disagree.
Like yeah sure if you just wanna base it on this film only sure he wasn’t that strong…..but we literally know he makes Superman his top slave, kills Aquaman and WW, and takes over the whole planet.
It’s all one running story but if you wanna base it one only what we seen in the present context (technically 1/3 of the JL story) then sure have your point lol

Ahh yes the magical hammer wielded by a literal God doesn't make a difference at all. When prior to that Thanos treated Cap like nothing more than a nuisance lol

Bruh we not talking about the character. We are literally talking about this film and the depiction of the character
At this point it gotta be a agree to disagree.

It ain’t canon till it’s canon.
just talking about how we view the character from the lens of this being his only appearance in live action so far.

Yep. I'm not even convinced that those scenes were an unavoidable future. So they definitely gotta do that s*** for me to say they did that s***.

Oh so now you switching up your stance
Oh Cap was never a nuisance
“Yeah well he lit thanos the f*** up for a min there and was beating his ass”
Oh well not until he had Thor’s weapon
Based on this movie I don't think that they are propping up Darkseid to be next big villain of the series.
I think they're making Superman the big bad. There's nothing in the film that tells me Superman is not the strongest character in both a hero and villain capacity.
When they looked in the future, they did not see Darkseid destroying that s***, they saw Superman destroying that s***. Period.

And furthermore, niggas weren't scared of Darkseid in this film.
Let's be real.
They were trying to stop the 3 Mother Boxes from coming together. Cus apparently that was a one-hit KO.
That's also what they were fighting for "back in the day". Niggas didn't give a f*** about Darkseid. They were fighting to stop the Unity
Once that s*** was stopped, there was no more movie.
Darkseid? We can take that nigga. But them boxes, we can't let that go.
The key to making your big bad work is to make them feel unstoppable but also to be able to frame them in a underdog scenario.
Thanos had to work for that win in IW.
Crazy how supes has Metallo, parasite, lobo, maxima, volcana, livewire, mongul and other villains but we've barely scratched the surface.
