I understand what you're saying but you cannot tell me that a ship with holograms and a debrief of species history is better than an actual person from there, that grew there and knew the ins and outs of the planet

Let’s say it was going to be 5 movies does it make sense that it took 3 movies to get Superman then after we get him if Lois dies he easy to control and turn his back on all of Society ? That isn’t the Superman we know . Remove darkseid let’s say any villain or even a drunk driver kills Lois? This man would murder everyone cause only humans he genuinely cares about are Lois and Martha who both magically made it out safe from bvs

I'd imagine at this point that a MoS sequel would come before JL 2 considering it probably or might take Darkseid a while to actually get to Earth

I can cause Zod wasn’t really telling him s*** . Zod fought him twice and never really tried to appeal to him besides “ we are same species I will kill them all” . Like he spent years screaming I will find him only to have 0 intelligence or trickery I just brawn . Doomsday same . Batman same . S*** Steppenwolf same , luthor same in terms of villains where no one like “ I get it “ like we get it but Superman has infinitely more than informs his existence

does that not make sense when it comes to the aspect that in MoS, Clark was trying to understand who he was / is and that meeting the last people of his kind would be hard to kill when they would more than likely be the key for him to understand (and ask questions with answers) himself?

I was saying that to say Clark made a firm choice to act a certain way. In bvs fight he didn't really make a choice. If he wanted to save his mom why didn't he just tell batman

MM and lois have had a working professional relationship since MOS. they obviously got closer in bvs. he SEES how determined she is and how good she is at her job. shes won awards and has the favor of the military so he knows about her record and more importantly he knows HER.

he knows how important the work that she does is. and he must know how painful it is to lose a loved one and you cant even grieve with anyone else because you carry a big secret.

he went there to alleviate lois of the burden of carrying her grief alone. but he doesnt want to reveal himself. so who would she be accepting towards to let them inside her place in order to have a walls down conversation? Kals mother. and seeing as how martha cant even afford to stay in metropolis for a night probably, she cant make that journey herself.

so it makes perfect sense that he of all people would be the one to approach her and nudge her towards going back to work. the world needs ppl like her to uncover injustices and give a voice to the voiceless.

was it fan service? sure. did it actually connect to past character motivations? 100% yes.
did it make sense narratively? yes.
you can not like the execution or the fan service but it works
