It’s not close at all
It’s actually laughable to think anyone can compare musically
Kanye hasn't had a truly great album in a decade, it's a pass for me.
i think tlop is great in retrospect and his production work on daytona is amazing
but it wouldn't matter if his last good album was MBDTF/WTT, most GOATs only peak for a decade. Stevie, Prince, the Beatles, Outkast, James Brown, Curtis Mayfield, Bowie, Michael Jackson and whoever else you wanna put in there, all got to a point where they hadn't put out a classic album in decades too. It's normal.

not neil young or bob dylan ye c***

bob dylan definitely top 10 for me, and Neil young is somewhere up there. i was just picking random examples
i'd have to look at the dates to know, did they really never drop the quality for more than a decade

ok bob kinda sucked for almost 20 years but it seems like self sabotage when you record a song this good but decide to leave it off the s***ty 80s album it was recorded for
there are other examples of him shelving the best songs from recording sessions to iffy albums
Neil had a rough 80s too but there are some gems there and he came back ridiculously strong before the end of the decade

Daytona I can completely agree on being truly great, not so much TLOP. I just don't think the first half of his career particularly stands out amongst other great artists

i've heard all their albums so ik there were some bad ones i'm just not 100% on the timelines.
in a way fans could make the bob argument about kanye tho. he's put out songs that aren't as good as some of his leftovers these past few years too
tbf Kanye's always done that to an extent, otherwise Hey Mama and Home would have probably made it to College Dropout

it's really 11 years not just 7 years tho to me.. From This Can't Be Life to Watch the Throne 11 years of classic music
And this decade he's still reached those peaks at times through Daytona beats or New Slaves or Only One and whatever other examples you wanna use. it's not like he's had a trash decade, he'd still be one of the better artists of the last 10 years.
