never liked Kanye thaat much
i've heard all their albums so ik there were some bad ones i'm just not 100% on the timelines.
in a way fans could make the bob argument about kanye tho. he's put out songs that aren't as good as some of his leftovers these past few years too
tbf Kanye's always done that to an extent, otherwise Hey Mama and Home would have probably made it to College Dropout
most the goats end up having plenty of gold shelved (kinks, prince, bowie, beach boys, velvets) but not many of them are guilty of doing it while in such a career slump

do you think Prince got the GOAT vault?
bobs is extensive too, feels like they'll never run out of tapes

no Dylan does very easily
Basement Tapes Complete alone

wasn't prince doing a song a day at one point tho?
but yeah the Basement Tapes are amazing. so many gems
Kanye hasn't had a truly great album in a decade, it's a pass for me.
Ksg out now
Go listen to lil baby

yeah i dont know how many cloreen bacon skins i really need tho tbf
you don't think he's still been great this decade?
i just think his albums since MBDTF/Throne probably won't be universally seen as classics in the same way
and it's Kanye, you really have to count the production he's done too
ok bob kinda sucked for almost 20 years but it seems like self sabotage when you record a song this good but decide to leave it off the s***ty 80s album it was recorded for
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uf5gi3E_rQthere are other examples of him shelving the best songs from recording sessions to iffy albums
Neil had a rough 80s too but there are some gems there and he came back ridiculously strong before the end of the decade
leaving potentially iconic songs off albums for seemingly no reason other than self sabotage
u thinking what i'm thinking

kanye is the goat, but yeezus is better than throne and easily one of the greatest albums oat
it's really 11 years not just 7 years tho to me.. From This Can't Be Life to Watch the Throne 11 years of classic music
And this decade he's still reached those peaks at times through Daytona beats or New Slaves or Only One and whatever other examples you wanna use. it's not like he's had a trash decade, he'd still be one of the better artists of the last 10 years.
es he's had great moments on individual tracks and performances, the problem is none of that has really resulted in a great project. A large part of why Kanye has been one of the better artists on this decade resolves around the spectacle of the man. If Kanye has a great moment, you're sure to see it.

You're either super young or just have por taste in music

kanye fans are literally the worst i just dont like him that much
Every project gets hyped up to no end. MBDTF the most overrated album of all time
i do like Yeezus, Ye and Graduation quite a bit though. mostly Yeezus and Graduation

idk how much there is in it. Songs like Murder to Excellence are top tier Ye/Hov. Paris is one of his most iconic 2010s songs.
I love both albums, i was really more talking about what will be seen as his 'classic' era.
Yeezus was probably a top 2 album of 2013 to me. I think if you're from the UK (so you're used to our 2000s sound), love dance music, alternative/underground stuff and love older hip hop tho, the Yeezus perception is very different. It's nuts for how mainstream he is but at the same time it's hardly his most innovative music, it's just a very alternative sound for a pop artist.

If an artist's fanbase are scaring you from listening to the musdic than you're doing something wrong
