This classic song which credits Ye and Brian Miller as the producer:
Kanye admitting that he didn't make this beat but people thought he did (and he just went with it)
This song as well (produced by Ye, and Miller) which I doubt Kanye did anything with:
This is early in his career as well, where he had less 'influence' and connections. Which made me think how many songs where he is credited as the 'producer' and he ends up doing nothing for the beat.
I still think he is an insanely talented producer, evidenced by songs like Jesus Walks, Heart of the City, and Through the Wire... etc, where he is the sole producer. I can still understand his role as a 'director', but I feel like he is overhyped in terms of being some God-level producer. We can see that he consistently works with talented producers and credits a whole lot of people. But by throwing his name in there as producer, it diminishes the contributions of the other producers (who most likely did more work than him).
This is pretty apparent in his newer music, where it feels like he doesn't even care about the music anymore. For Jesus is King, we can see that BoogzDaBeast is credited on a large amount of tracks. He is also credited for Wash Us in the Blood, which from an interview, it sounded like he basically did everything and showed the beat to Kanye. Which makes me think, that the songs from JIK were mostly all done by him.
An example from his older works, is for Late Registration. We see that Jon Brion being credited for almost every song, but people will just say that Ye produced all of it (dismissing the fact that Jon has almost as much credits as Ye).
Its over for Ye, ive ended his career.

Keep defending him, by saying "he credits everyone in the room".
I know music is collaborative, but his stans act like his makes every beat in a locked room by himself.

Did I say he didn't? He's still in my top 5 producers.
Fans IRL and on Reddit act like he made the entirety of MBDTF by himself.
Maybe entertain the thought that the man has help and would not be even close to what he is now without the contributions of others.
